D.O.T. Closes Multiple Lanes Of Traffic For Construction

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Georgia Department of Transportation is closing lanes and exits for road repairs.

Exit 24 on I-16 in Twiggs County will be closed Monday and Tuesday from 7:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. Both the entrance and the exit ramps will be closed in both directions.

Also, a single lane will be closed on I-16 starting in Bibb County and ending in Laurens County. The single lane will be closed to repair a cable. The lane will be shut down Monday through Thursday, 7:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.

The D.O.T. reminds you to slow down and exercise caution while driving in construction zones.
