CURE Childhood Cancer Holiday Angels delivers a truckload of gifts to Atrium Health Levine Children’s Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital
“Oh my gosh, I think they're going to be excited. I mean, even just the parents picking up the gifts is just so heart warming,” said Jennifer Gillam, Operations Manager for CURE Childhood Cancer.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Atrium is about to have one of its biggest Christmases yet as gifts just keep on coming this holiday season.
Last Thursday Bibb County Sheriff’s Office delivered a truckload of gifts and now the CURE Childhood Cancer Holiday Angels delivered another truckload to 11 families of child cancer patients at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital earlier today.
Jennifer Gillam, Operations Manager for CURE Childhood Cancer says being able to provide just a little bit of relief to the children and their families is incredible.
“You know, this is a stressful time for families going through this and this is just another way for CURE to kind of help take that burden off. So they can just focus on their children’s treatment and not have to worry about gifts. That’s kind of why we do this,” said Gillam.
“Oh my gosh, I think they’re going to be excited. I mean, even just the parents picking up the gifts is just so heart warming,” she said.
“We don’t wrap the gifts, we provide the wrapping paper and all that. So that way, the parents, it does help them feel that it’s just an extension of what they’re providing for their family,” said Susan Hayden, Office Manager for CURE Childhood Cancer.
“They are already going through enough. So just being able to help the parents out is a blessing for the children,” said Tabetha Preston, Social Worker for HOPE for Kids at Atrium.
“Most times, whatever they put on their wish list, they end up getting. So they’re very happy and excited about that,”
“Knowing that someone else cares about them and what they are going through other than their families” she said.
According to Atrium Health Navicent the Holiday Angels who are based out Atlanta adopts more than 130 families across multiple hospitals in Georgia and delivers gifts and other necessities while also donating more than $5.7 million annually for cancer research.
