Crawford County Magistrate Judge Arrested, Charged with Theft

KNOXVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Crawford County Magistrate Judge is arrested and charged with fiduciary theft and violation of oath of office.

According to a news release from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, 43 year-old Andrea Peterman was arrested Monday afternoon and booked in the county jail just before 4.

Bibb County District Attorney, David Cooke says his office called for the investigation last week. After gathering evidence, he asked the GBI to step in and investigate.

Cooke says the GBI issued warrants for Peterman’s arrest yesterday. The office out of Perry is handling the investigation.
