Crawford County Detention Officer turns himself in
Crawford County Sheriff Lewis Walker says Octavious King was placed on administrative leave with pay on September 4.

ROBERTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –A Crawford County Detention Officer turned himself in on Friday after being accused of providing inmates with a cell phone and vapes in the jail.
Crawford County Sheriff Lewis Walker says Octavious King was placed on administrative leave with pay on September 4, until an investigation was completed. He says during the investigation, probable cause was determined that King committed a criminal act.
He’s charged with one count of violation of oath by public officer (felony) and one count of giving inmates liquor, drugs, weapons, etc. without consent of warden (felony).
According to Sheriff Lewis, King went before a Superior Court Judge for his first appearance hearing. Bond was set at $10,000.
He has been terminated from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
