Crawford County Child Accidentally Shoots Himself

A Crawford County child is recovering after an accidental shooting over the weekend.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a call around 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon, about a shooting on Running Deer Road.

When deputies arrived, they discovered an 8 year old boy accidentally shot himself with a 9 MM pistol, and had wounds on both legs.

He was taken to the Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The case is still under investigation.
