Cox Communications changes internet charge for residential bills
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – You may have already noticed a difference on your Cox Communications bill in the way you pay for internet.
Cox now has a limit on the internet data you can use.
You’ll have 1 terabyte to use however you’d like, and if you go over, each 50 gigabytes after that will cost you an additional charge.
Cam Johnson is the Public Affairs Manager for Cox in the southeast.
He says this will only affect 1% of Cox customers because most customers don’t use anywhere close to 1 TB of data.
“You can watch over 140 2-hour long HD Movies, 300 TV shows, you can watch approximately 1,500 videos online, surf the web for about 3,000 hours and listen to 30,000 songs all of that in a month,” said Johnson.
Johnson says this will only affect residential bills, so businesses won’t see the change.
