MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A cooler and drier airmass continues to filter in behind a front. Low temperatures on early Wednesday morning will range from the upper 30s to mid 40s.  Screenshot 2025 04 16 070953Surface high pressure will become centered over the southeast during the day tomorrow, which will promote clear skies and pleasant weather throughout the day. Afternoon highs will mainly range from the mid 60s in far northeast Georgia to the mid 70s in Middle Georgia. Models are showing that dewpoints are accounting for the drier airmass and that will bring minimum relative humidity values to under 25 percent Thursday afternoon. Although winds will be lighter, there is a possibility that another Fire Danger Statement will be issued for low relative humidity and dry fuels. The airmass will begin to moderate Wednesday night into Thursday morning as the surface high moves to the east of Georgia and winds shift from northwest to southeast.
