Cooler and Slightly Drier for Thursday
Tonight will not be as bad as the last few nights. High pressure will slowly build into the area tonight and drop the humidity levels and the temperatures somewhat. We should be in the upper 50’s by Thursday morning, and in the mid to upper 60’s Thursday afternoon.
More showers and storms rolled through the mid state today. We did have some very heavy rain at times and some lightning. The good news is that most of the showers and storms are off to our east and southeast now. We will have another shot at more rain tonight, but I think for most of us, its going to be a bit quieter. There is also bigger changes in store for us on Thursday as well. A wedge of high pressure will build in and drop our dewpoints, ie drier, and a bit cooler as well. The shower chances will be there, but not as high as today. We will see more changes, yet again, for Friday and we see the moisture return for yet again more humidity and more chances for Showers and storms.
