Congressman Austin Scott Weighs in on NSA
PERRY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Congressman Austin Scott was in Perry Thursday night for a brief visit with state legislators and local business leaders.
Scott spoke with 41NBC about the NSA.
“You’ll see us, I believe over, the next several weeks dealing with the NSA issue in a fairly aggressive manner. We’re going to find a way that protects people’s right to privacy in this country and also allows us to go after Al Qaeda, and those guys that want to do us harm,” said Scott.
Scott says one idea he has is to separate the information gathering agencies, from the agencies who need the information.
“In other words the agency that is housing the information will not be the agency that is actually seeking the information,” said Scott.
He said after reviewing reports, it’s clear that it’s too easy for the people who have all the date to look at it.
