Congregation forced to move after Macon church burns down
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Macon church burned down early Tuesday morning.
God’s Power Church of Christ sits at the corner of Mosley Avenue and Cedar Avenue.
Macon-Bibb Fire Investigator Sgt. Ben Gleaton says they’re still investigating the cause of the fire.
The Assistant Pastor, Jeanette Dudley, says they are a small church, but a strong one.
“We have second location, which is in Danville, Georgia,” said Dudley.
The congregation will have services there.
“We are taught to endure hardness as a good soldier,” said Dudley. “So that’s what we’re doing. We’re enduring this. And we know that regardless of the bad situation, God is working it all for our good.”
Dudley seemed optimistic they would rebuild the church, but couldn’t be sure.
