Cold arctic air arrives tonight, stays for the weekend

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Folks it is starting to get cold across Middle Georgia. We saw plenty of sunshine with temperatures in the 50s today. Cold arctic air will be here overnight tonight into Saturday morning with temperatures in the teens to low 20s. Temperatures will feel like the teens on Saturday morning some could be colder. We will not warm up much only in the mid 30s to low 40s on Saturday, however it will feel much cooler. The good news is that there will be plenty of sunshine. Sunday will be colder with morning temperatures in the upper teens feeling much colder. Mid 40s with plenty of sunshine on your Sunday afternoon. We will begin to warm up next week back into the 60s by Tuesday. Tuesday thru Friday will bring the chance to see showers in the area. We’re definitely going to get a tease of spring late next week with temperatures in the low 70s with thunderstorms possible Thursday and Friday. It is too early to tell if the storms will be severe or not. Keep warm this weekend and have a great weekend.
