Cochran-Bleckley Chamber of Commerce to host family-friendly events
Melissa Barker, president and CEO of the Cochran-Bleckley Chamber of Commerce, says the events are open to the public.
COCHRAN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Cochran-Bleckley Chamber of Commerce is hosting family-friendly events for the community.
The Bleckley Bullseye campaign, a shop-local initiative, runs through July 31. Participants are encouraged to visit at least five participating businesses to collect stickers on a Bullseye card. Completed cards can be turned in at the City Auditorium Office Complex, 102 N. Second St., by 4:30 p.m. on the final day of the campaign.
Those who submit completed cards will be entered into a drawing for a grand prize valued at $2,500 in local gift certificates and Bleckley Bucks.
Chamber President and CEO Melissa Barker said the campaign is designed to promote local shopping and remind residents of the impact their spending has on the community.
In addition to the Bullseye campaign, the Chamber continues to host its monthly Second Saturday event on the second Saturday of each month. Held on the lawn of the Bleckley County Courthouse, the free event features live music, food trucks, games, and activities for families.
Barker said Second Saturday helps support downtown businesses while offering residents a space to connect with one another.
Both events are free and open to the public. For more information and a list of participating businesses, residents can contact the Chamber or visit its official website.
