Coach’s Corner: Warner Robins Demons begin 2016 with a new head coach
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – As the Warner Robins Demons get set for their first game tonight in Houston County, they will be doing so with a new head coach for the first time in 12 years.
Mike Chastain will take over for departing coach Bryan Way.
Chastain coached last season under Vonn Lassiter at Houston County, and was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Prior to that, Chastain coached under Conrad Nix while at Northside.
The Demons will switch to Region 1-5A, alongside Veterans, Thomas County, Central, Bainbridge, and Harris County.
OFFENSE:
The team will have four starters returning on the offensive line.
They will also return running back Javian Bradford-Jackson.
The Demons will have a new quarterback, Dalton Heddin, who transferred in.
DEFENSE:
Only two starters return for the defense from last year, and will be buoyed by team leader DB Michael Bradley.
FIRST GAME: Tonight versus Northside.
