Coach’s Corner: Northeast’s 2-9 record worst in Bruce Mullen’s tenure
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – In Bruce Mullen’s 13 seasons as head coach of the Northeast Raiders, their 2-9 record for 2015 stands as their worst mark in that span.
Despite the record which began with a 0-8 stretch, the Raiders still stumbled into the playoffs. They lost to Brooks County 48-0.
In the last two seasons, Northeast is a combined 5-16.
OFFENSE:
The Raiders averaged a total of 15.3 points-per-game last season.
They will have six returning starters, including quarterback Noah Ussery, running back Rontravious Williams, and linemen Solomon Davis and William Causey.
DEFENSE:
The defense will need work as they allowed 34 points-per-game in 2015.
Returning players: Alton Dennis, Anthony Barnett, Zacharie Hicks, and Vincent McCarthy.
FIRST GAME: August 26th versus Lamar County at Thompson Stadium.
