Coach’s Corner: Mount de Sales Cavaliers enter 2016 after two straight 4-6 seasons

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Mount de Sales Cavaliers are hoping 2016 isn’t a repeat of 2015 or 2014, in which the team finished with back-to-back 4-6 seasons.

The Cavaliers will play in Region 7-A, along with FPD, Stratford, Tattnall, Wilkinson County, and Twiggs County.

This is Keith Hatcher’s third season as head coach.

OFFENSE:

Last year, the Cavs scored 18.1 points-per-game.

They have five returning starters, including senior quarterback Pinkney Gilchrist and RB/WR Adrian Hardwick.

There will only be one returning starter on the offensive line.

DEFENSE:

Mount de Sales allowed an average of 29.1 points-per-game in 2015.

The defense will also have five returning starters, including three captains and DL Dillon Mixon.

FIRST GAME: August 19th versus Pacelli.
