Clouds clear and sunshine returns, will stick around for a while
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Heavy rain drenched us last night, but that system moves out of Georgia today, leaving us with abundant sunshine.
We’ll get up to the mid 60s today. Mostly sunny this afternoon, with mostly clear skies this evening and temperatures in the low 50s. There’s a slight chance for a passing shower tonight between 10pm – 12am, but it won’t be a big deal. Tomorrow’s morning low will be in the low 40s.
It’s sunny tomorrow as well. High pressure will begin to move into the area from the west this week. Highs will remain seasonable in the low to mid 60s, but overnight lows return to the mid 30s Wednesday overnight into Thursday.
By this weekend, ridging in the jet stream will warm temperatures. Our highs get up to the 70s, and we’ll remain sunny until a chance of rain returns on Monday.
