City of Warner Robins to host sandbag distribution ahead of Hurricane Helene

Sandbags can be picked up September 25 and September 26 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)– The City of Warner Robins is providing sandbags and sand on Wednesday and Thursday ahead of Hurricane Helene. The City of Warner Robins is taking proactive measures as they prepare for potential flooding.

Sandbags can be picked up September 25 and September 26 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Supplies can be picked up at the Public Works Department located at 210 Bay Street in Warner Robins.

There is a limit of 10 sandbags per household. City staff will be onsite to help residents with filling and loading sandbags as needed.

“We encourage all residents to take advantage of this opportunity to prepare for the impacts of Hurricane Helene,” said Craig Clifton, Director of the Public Works Department. “Our team is here to assist and support our community during this time.”
