WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The City of Warner Robins is hosting the ‘Great Christmas Tree Round-up’ recycling program.

The event is January 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Maple Street in Warner Robins. The recycling event allows community members to drop off Christmas trees after the holidays.

According to the City of Warner Robins, recycled trees will be repurposed in two different ways:

  • Mulch for city parks: Helping keep green spaces beautiful and sustainable.
  • Fish habitats: Trees will be placed in area lakes and streams to enhance aquatic ecosystems.

Participants will receive a free tree seedling for every Christmas tree that is recycled, which is available only on January 4, during event hours.

If you can’t make it on January 4, you can still drop off your tree near the water tower on Maple Street any time after Christmas through the end of the event.
