City of Macon, Warner Robins giving away 600 free trees

There will be 600 trees given away between both cities. This event is free and open to everyone. 

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful (KMBB) and Keep Warner Robins Beautiful (KWRB) are hosting a free tree giveaway.

The event in Macon is at 10 a.m. at the Rosa Jackson Center located at 1211 Maynard Street. The Warner Robins event is at 9 a.m. at the GMC Warner Robins Native Plant Center located at 115 Prince Street. Both events are on December 14.

KWRB was the recipient of the 2024 Georgia Releaf Grant.

The Georgia ReLeaf Program aims to contribute to tree equity in underserved communities and improve the environmental, economic, and social health of Georgia communities.

Executive Director of KMBB, Asha Ellen, says there will be a variety of trees that participants can choose from. Participants can get up to two trees and a bag of mulch.

There will be 600 trees given away between both cities. This event is free and open to everyone.

KMBB is also giving away free toys and gentle-used clothing.
