City of Dublin removing and collecting debris left behind by Hurricane Helene

City Manager Josh Powell wants residents to know they'll make as many rounds as necessary to clean up Dublin.

DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –  The City of Dublin is still recovering from Hurricane Helene. Friday, city employees were in the process of collecting and removing debris.

City Manager Josh Powell wants residents to know they’ll make as many rounds as necessary to clean up Dublin.

In the meantime, he asks residents to help out by cutting limbs and trunks into smaller sections no longer than six feet.

If you plan to use a chainsaw, the Georgia Forestry Commission has some advice:  be patient, wear safety equipment and have a first aid kit ready.

Powell said in the coming weeks, the Army Corp of Engineers may join the cleanup effort.
