Chris Christie Says His TV Gigs Are Good For NJ

NEW YORK (AP) – Author and sports commentator Howard Bryant wants to help teach young people about the history of sports.

Bryant has a deal with Penguin Young Readers Group for nonfiction books about baseball, football and basketball, and a picture book. The publisher announced Monday that the first of the four books will come out in March 2015.

The 44-year-old Bryant is a senior writer for ESPN.com and a commentator for National Public Radio. His previous books include an acclaimed biography of Hank Aaron, “The Last Hero,” and “Juicing the Game: Drugs, Power and the Fight for the Soul of Major League Baseball.”
