Cherry Blossom Festival kicks off Third Street Park festivities
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Third Street Park was packed Monday afternoon as the Cherry Blossom Festival started it’s first full week in Macon.
People stood in line to get their free cherry ice cream cone from Kroger. Krispy Kreme and Coca Cola also handed out snacks. 3rd Street Park festivities will happen every day this week. Different live acts will take the stage every day and vendors will be giving out refreshments while supplies last. You can also enjoy horse-drawn carriage rides around the park.
The Salute to our Troops is scheduled for March 31. The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday – Friday.
