Cherry Blossom Festival debuts new weekday pricing, additional events

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The Cherry Blossom Festival is debuting new weekday pricing and adding additional events to the calendar.

The Festival at Carolyn Crayton Park is open everyday:

  • Monday: Noon to 9 p.m.
  • Tuesday: Noon to 9 p.m.
  • Wednesday: Noon to 9 p.m.
  • Thursday: Noon to 9 p.m.
  • Friday: Noon to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Sunday: Noon to 9 p.m.

Admission costs $10 per day and children 10 & under are free. Redding-Andrews says admission will cost $5 Monday through Friday for attendees that are at the festival before 5 p.m.

There will also be a nightly concert series at the Coca-Cola Entertainment Stage. There will be daily ride specials as well.

  • Monday through Friday: $25 for unlimited rides
  • Saturday and Sunday: $30 for unlimited rides
  • Ride coupons are $1.25 each. All rides require more than 1 coupon each.

Redding-Andrews adds that there will be the traditional attractions and rides, as well as new ones. She adds that this year there will be pig races.

There will also be events happening in Downtown Macon throughout the week.

  • The Ultimate Air Dogs Dock Dog Diving Competition: March 22-23
  • Wiener Dog Race: March 22 at 12 p.m.
  • Musical Chairs: March 22 at 1 p.m.
  • Bed Race: March 22 at 1:30 p.m.
  • Cherry Blossom Parade: March 23 at 3 p.m.
  • Third Street Park: March 24-28 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Food Truck Frenzy & Cherry Market: March 29-30 from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
