Cherry Blossom Derby Party prepares for sold out event
The event begins at 5 p.m. at the historic Anderson Dining Hall at Wesleyan College.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Cherry Blossom Derby Party is sold out and event organizers are expected to continue the ‘Pinkest Party’ on Earth.
Hannah Theus, Director of Marketing and Fulfillment with the Cherry Blossom Festival, says guests are encouraged to dress in their derby best and participate in the Kentucky Derby Fashion Contest.
There will be designs by Mary Pinson, drinks and heavy hors d’oeuvres. There will also be a live and silent auction, and a live viewing of the Kentucky Derby.
