Cherry Blossom Ball will not drop in Macon this year
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Residents in Macon will not see the Cherry Blossom Ball drop this New Year’s Eve.
According to Cherry Blossom Festival President Jake Ferro, sponsors iHeart Media and ARC decided not to sponsor the event this year. Ferro says two other sponsors showed interest in the event but backed out late last week.
The sponsors are interested in bringing back the event in 2016. The Cherry Blossom Festival says it will be happy to provide any support for anyone interested in presenting the event.
