CGTC exhibit ceremony at Georgia Sports Hall of Fame introduces three new sports teams
Central Georgia Technical College unveiled its new exhibit at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Thursday and held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their first seasons of men's and women's soccer and football

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – Central Georgia Technical College unveiled a new exhibit at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Thursday and held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the school’s upcoming inaugural seasons of men’s and women’s soccer and football.
The exhibition at the front entrance of the Hall of Fame includes the 2023 National Championship trophy from the CGTC Club football team that beat Ohio State in November. The team went 13-0 and finished with a number one ranking. The exhibit also includes team memorabilia and mentions of the three new teams being implemented into the Titans’ intercollegiate athletics.
Football, as well as men’s and women’s soccer, will make their debut at Atrium Health Field at the Warner Robins campus this fall.
Men’s and women’s soccer head coach Enrique ‘Kike’ Fuentes spoke about what this program means to this school.
“It has been a lot of work, and I actually like that, because it allows me to show my players that if you want to go to the next level, if you work hard, you can get there,” Fuentes said. “I kind of use it like a role model type of thing for my players, so it’s a lot of pressure, but at the same time, it’s very rewarding.”
Director of Marketing, Public Relations and International Outreach JoBen Rivera-Thompson told 41NBC how this helps the school as it continues to grow.
“It’s new, it’s exciting for us,” Rivera-Thompson said. “We’re giving our students something to rally behind, right? A new group of athletes that they can support and encourage, so we’re excited”
The first men’s soccer game is August 18 at home.
The first women’s soccer game is August 19 at Middle Georgia State.
