CGTC Commencement Ceremony coming to Atrium Health Amphitheater
The ceremony is free and open to the public.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC) announces Wednesday, its 2024 Commencement Ceremony will be at the Atrium Health Amphitheater on Friday, May 3 at 7:00 p.m.
According to a news release sent by CGTC, it welcomes the change for this year’s graduation to continue the momentum of support for Macon-Bibb Counties’ improvements to the Eisenhower Boulevard and Macon Mall area.
“Many of the students who will walk across the stage in the Atrium Health Amphitheater will hear their name called out to a community that may have doubted them or was perceived to have limited their potential,” Dr. Craig Jackson, vice president for Student Affairs. “Now it’s a reminder that CGTC is right here championing their educational and career goals. We are truly a college for our community.”
The ceremony is free and open to the public. CGTC says guests should enter through the West Gate and graduates through the North Gate. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and graduate check-in begins at 5:30 p.m.
For more information on the venue is available here.
Graduates and their families are encouraged to visit CGTC’s website, for updated details on parking, graduate entrances, and more.
If the ceremony has to be moved indoors because of weather, it will be live-streamed. The college says a special link will be available the day of the event.
