CGTC chosen for international training partnership

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Central Georgia Technical College was chosen to be part of a $93 million contract that will help re-build a college and university system in the Middle East.

The college was one out of two 2-year colleges that were chosen to partner with the University of Massachusetts.

President of CGTC, Dr. Ivan Allen, announced the partnership at the Macon Rotary Club on Monday.

UMASS says CGTC was chosen for its experience in delivering more than $14 million of training to the U.S. Air Force and Robins Air Force Base.
