Central High School No Longer Considered Priority School
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – After three years of hard work, Central High School is no longer considered a priority school by the Georgia Department of Education.
Priority schools are schools that demonstrate lowest achievement for three consecutive years or have a graduate rate of less than 60 percent.
At Central, students were given the opportunity to get extended class time, participate in in-school tutorials and also take assessments.
Last year Central’s graduate rate increased by 13 percent.
