Centerville Independence Day celebration cancelled
CENTERVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The City of Centerville’s Independence Day is cancelled. It was supposed to happen at City Hall from 6PM to 9:30PM Thursday night, but it got rained out.
This was the fourth year the city has hosted the event with food, music and a firework show.
Director of Economic Development and Marketing, Kate Hogan, says they are working on getting the event rescheduled.
“We’re going to look it over with the Mayor and council over the next couple of weeks and really try to make sure that we bring this event back to the city of Centerville, even though it’s not Fourth of July anymore,” said Hogan.
