Car Hydroplanes Into Milledgeville Pond; Woman and Two Children Involved

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Emergency crews had to pull a car out of a pond after a woman hydroplaned off the road with her two children in the vehicle.

It happened on Laying Farm Rd. in Milledgeville early Monday evening. 41NBC arrived on scene just as crews were towing the car away from the site

State trooper Jim Lewis tells us the woman lost control after she hit a puddle.After the crash, a passerby called emergency crews to the scene. It took them about 10 minutes to get the car out of the pond.

Thankfully, both she and her two girls escaped unharmed. 41NBC spoke with the driver, who declined to go on camera. She told us she and her daughters are lucky to be alive.
