Candidate Qualifies for Mayor in Style

MACON, Georgia (41 NBC/WMGT) – Candidate David Cousino rode into Bibb County Board of Elections Office on a horse.

Cousino walked into the office, saddle bag in tow, and filled out the paperwork he needed to qualify for Mayor.

He paid the majority of his $3000 qualifying fees, in gold coins. The rest with cash.

Cousino explained why he came in on the horse, comparing it to the community needing “someone to take the reins.”

When asked what he’d prioritize if he were to be Mayor, Cousino told 41 NBC, “Non partisan is for the people, by the people, and We the people have got to get out there and do the voting and put a person back into this office that will see justice done in our communities.”

He believes the new government needs a new mayor and keeping old officials in place will bring the “same old problems.”
