Byron Police make two drug arrests in high speed chase
BYRON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Byron police made two drug arrests after a high speed chase led them to the Vinings subdivision in Warner Robins.

According to a news release, a Byron police officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a possible DUI offense on Interstate 75. The driver exited the interstate at Russell Parkway.
Deputies say the driver and passenger began throwing items out of the car. The vehicle continued on Houser’s Mill Road and came to a stop. Then the passenger exited and the car sped off.
The turned into the Vinings subdivision and came to a stop when it hit a tree. The driver got out of the car and led police on a foot chase. He was eventually caught and taken into custody.

Officers arrested driver 32-year-old Jkwame Harris and passenger Kenneth McCray Jr.
Harris is charged with trafficking, felony fleeing, possession of a firearm, DUI, reckless driving and speeding.
McCray is charged with trafficking, giving false name, and obstruction of a law enforcement.
