Butler Mayor Passes Away

Mayor Joel Posey passed away on Monday. Posey was 70 years old and suffered from diabetes and congested heart failure.

Posey was serving his first term as the city’s mayor.

Visitation for Posey is being held Tueday night from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m.

The funeral will be on Wednesday at 11:00a.m.

Both visitation and funeral will be at the First Baptist Church in Butler.
