Business leaders In Macon Discuss Second Street Corridor

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)-Several business leaders in Macon came together today to discuss the design of the Second Street Corridor downtown. Sixty invited representatives from Macon businesses, organizations, and agencies were present at the Terminal Station to give their feedback on the new corridor. The corridor is expected to connect Macon’s key land marks like the Macon Centreplex, the Central Business District, and Mercer University.

“We are trying to identify stakeholders and tell them about the project, get their feedback, and be inclusive so that this is a public-driven project,” said Mayor of Macon, Robert Reichert.

The initial development of the Second Street Corridor is being funded by the SPLOST.
