MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — NewTown Macon has reported a significant increase in business in downtown Macon. According to the organization, dozens of new businesses have opened their doors in 2024, with more set to follow suit.
Emily Hopkins, NewTown’s Vice President of External Affairs, says she’s enthusiastic about the diverse range of businesses that have sprung up. She says the new ventures include not just retailers but also restaurants and offices.
One of the recent success stories is Braddock’s Cask and Table, a restaurant that opened its doors two months ago. Owner and Chef, Ingrid Davis, fulfilled a lifelong dream by establishing her restaurant in downtown Macon.
Davis has brought a blend of flavors to the city, creating an innovative menu.
“It’s kind of a new American bistro sort of space,” she said. “We have kind of global influences in our food, so it’s a little bit of, you might get a little smidge Italian in there, or you might get something that is maybe German.”
Braddock’s Cask and Table is open Tuesday through Saturday.
