Burglary suspects caught within minutes of committing crime

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies made two arrests in connection to a home burglary Tuesday, September 1.

According to a news release the incident happened around 1:00 p.m. at 6121 Riggins Mill Road.

When deputies arrived a relative of the homeowner had one of the suspects detained. He was identified as 26-year-old Justin Stanton. Deputies search the house and found 37-year-old Veronica Martin.

A car in Martin’s name was found in the woods near the backyard of the house. Multiple items from the house were found in the trunk of the car.

Martin and Stanton were taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with burglary.
