Buglary vicitim finds stolen items at neighbor’s apartment

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary that happened at the Highland Wood Apartments on Clinton Road, Sunday night.

According to a news release, deputies responded to the call around 7:15 p.m. The victim told Bibb deputies several items had been stolen from her apartment and the suspects had fled the scene.

About an hour later deputies received another call about a fight in the same complex. Deputies say the victim went over to a neighbor’s apartment and that’s when she noticed the items that were stolen from her.

Besides the two women that answered the door, deputies found two men hiding in the apartment. They were identified ad 18-year-old Deiondre Howard and 23-year-old Darius Johnson.

They were taken in for questioning and arrested on burglary charges. Howard was also charged with 6 counts of shoplifting, simple battery, and probation violation from an unrelated case. Bond is set at $14,200 for Howard and $8,450 for Johnson.

No charges have been made against the females at this time.
