Bruster’s Ice Cream Saves a Cherry Blossom Tradition

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Many of you look forward to the free cherry ice cream in Macon’s Third Street Park during the Cherry Blossom Festival. This year the tradition was almost cancelled, but Bruster’s Ice Cream came to the rescue.

The company that’s been giving away the ice cream for more than 20 years, Dairyland and Pet Dairies, was bought out by Mayfield.

The new event sponsor, Bruster’s Ice Cream, will serve up free Cherry Vanilla ice cream in Third Street Park March 19-23 from 11:30am- 1:30pm.
