The Brick restaurant opens in Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A new restaurant is open in Macon and its roots started downtown.
The Brick Macon opened its doors to customers Wednesday morning. The restaurant has been a “go-to” eatery in Milledgeville for more than 20 years.
Store owner Frank Pendergast says because of Macon’s downtown success and recent growth, he had no choice but to expand to the city.
“Sincerely, it was on a bar napkin and this is what we should do. So it started in Macon, and Mitch was from Macon. He always wanted to come back to Macon. Like I said, this is the culmination of that. We finally got to come back home where it all started,” Pendergast.
The restaurant is open seven days a week.
It serves pizzas, calzones, pastas and more.
Pendergast says he hopes it’ll be a place where people can come and listen to music, eat good food, and enjoy people’s company.
The restaurant is located at 1305 Hardeman Avenue in Macon in the Lofts at College Hill.
