Boy dies at High Falls State Park, another airlifted to hospital
JACKSON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Monroe County Emergency Services (MCES) were called to High Falls State Park after two boys were in the water below the falls.
According to MCES, one boy died. He is identified as 12-year-old Christian Burdette. The other, was alive holding on to the rocks. MCES called for a Georgia State Patrol helicopter and the Macon-Bibb swift-water dive team to help put in the rescue.
