Bodybuilding competition provides healthy inspiration

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Body builders from all over the southeast strutted their stuff at Wesleyan College Saturday.

It was put on by the International National Bodybuilding Federation.

Competitors were judged on their level of fitness.

Men and women both took part.

Alli Kerr owns the pink physique, located on Zebulon Road.
   
She’s a former competitor herself, and says it’s motivating to see others on stage.

“It’s inspiring to see all these athletes because you do see people of all occupations, you see people of all different ages, all different shapes, and a lot of them have lost lots of weight to here,” said Kerr. “A lot of them have lots of children, some of them have grandchildren. So we really do have people of all different fitness levels, some people started out with not working out at all.”

Winners of the contest will compete against other bodybuilders in a world competition.
