Body Of Missing Centerville Woman Found, Two Macon Residents Charged With Murder

Grable-JustinThe body of missing Centerville woman, 38 year old Kimberly McKenzie, was found in a field near Feagin Road in south Bibb County around 1 pm Sunday afternoon.

Evidence indicates that Ms. McKenzie is a victim of a shooting. Bibb Sheriff Investigators arrested 19 year old, Alexandria Renee Scott of Macon and 21 year old Justin Terrell Grable of Macon in connection with the murder. Both suspects are being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex without bond.

The Centerville Police Department was working a missing person’s case on McKenzie since last week. Her car was found on Eisenhower Parkway at Key Street around 11:00p.m. Wednesday night.

The investigation led officers from the Centerville Police Department and the United States Marshall’s Southeastern Fugitive Task Force Officers to the discovery of her body in a field off of Feagin Road, Sunday afternoon. The Bibb Sheriff’s Office was notified to conduct a follow-up investigation into the circumstances leading up to the body being found in south Bibb. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Scene Unit assisted Bibb Investigators.  The exact cause of death will be determined at the autopsy by the medical examiner.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation. They say they do not believe the victim, Kimberly McKenzie, knew the suspects or had any contact with them prior to her murder.
