Bibb County deputies investigating 26th homicide

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man’s body was found inside a home.

Authorities made the discovery just before noon in the 4400 block of Pharr Avenue. That’s in West Macon near Columbus Road and Log Cabin Drive.

Macon-Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says the man died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Deputies say a friend found the victim unresponsive inside the doorway of the home.

Officials are waiting to notify family members before releasing the identity of the victim.

There are no suspects at this time.

Jones says this marks the 26th homicide for Macon-Bibb County.
