Body Found on Boy Scout Reservation in Crawford County

ROBERTA, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, are investigating a decomposed body found at ‘Camp Benjamin Hawkins Boy Scout Reservation’ over the weekend. The body was found wrapped in bed linens.

In a news release, the GBI says the body initially appears to be that of 39-year-old Daryl James Oxford, who was last seen on April 9th, 2012 south of Lizella, Georgia.

An autopsy is being done to identify the body, along with the cause of death.
