Body found in Tesla linked to singer D4vd identified as missing 15-year-old girl
More than a week after a body was discovered inside an impounded Tesla registered to rising music star D4vd, authorities have identified the remains.

(NBC)- More than a week after a body was discovered inside an impounded Tesla registered to rising music star D4vd, authorities have identified the remains as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who was reported missing last year, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
Police say the decomposed body was first found on September 8, when officers responded to a Hollywood tow yard after reports of a foul odor coming from the vehicle. The Tesla had been impounded after being reported abandoned.
Law enforcement sources confirmed the remains were not intact. The medical examiner described the girl, who had wavy black hair and weighed approximately 71 pounds, as having been deceased inside the vehicle for an extended period of time.
D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, rose to fame on TikTok and is currently on tour. A spokesperson for the 20-year-old singer did not respond to NBC News’ request for comment Tuesday, but last week said Burke was “fully cooperating with the authorities.”
The Los Angeles Police Department emphasized that the case has not been classified as criminal. In a statement, the agency said, “At this time we do not have a crime classification from the coroner as to the mode or manner of death. Thus, we do not have any suspect information at this time.”
Police have not confirmed whether Burke had any prior contact with Rivas.
In the wake of the discovery, D4vd’s scheduled show in Seattle tonight has been canceled. He is still slated to perform in Los Angeles later this weekend.
