Body found in Macon storage unit during missing person investigation
The sheriff’s office said investigators responded to 10 Federal Storage units at 4100 Riverside Drive while investigating a missing person case.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — A person was found dead inside a storage unit on Wednesday night, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said investigators responded to 10 Federal Storage units at 4100 Riverside Drive while investigating a missing person case just after 7 p.m. on March 18.
During the search, investigators found a deceased person inside a storage unit.
The body was recovered and will be sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for an autopsy to determine the cause of death and confirm the person’s identity.
The sheriff’s office said it will release the person’s identity after proper identification and notification of the family.
