Bobcat Basketball Sweeps UNC Pembroke at Home

MILLEDGEVILLE, Georgia (GCSU) – The Georgia College basketball teams took both games of a basketball doubleheader from UNC Pembroke Thursday night in the Centennial Center. The women won convincingly 55-41, while the men got a late three-point play to get their victory 63-61.

The Bobcat women stay undefeated in Peach Belt Conference (PBC) play at 3-0, adding a 7-3 overall mark. The GC men now stand at 6-4 with a 2-1 PBC record.

Sophomore guard Shanteona Keys (Roswell, Ga.) paced a defensive Bobcat win with 12 points. On the men’s side, senior forward Scott Ferguson (Roswell, Ga.) capped a career night with the deciding three-point play, finishing with 28 points.

The Bobcats return to action Saturday, Jan. 5 at 1:30 p.m. hitting the road to North Georgia.
