Bleckley County to Retire Amarius Mims’ Royals Jersey at Home Opener

Bleckley Co. Royals Will Retire Bengals Offensive Tackle Amarius Mims In Their Home Opening Game Friday

COCHRAN, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – Bleckley County High School will honor one of its most accomplished alumni at the Royals’ first home game of the season.

Former Royals standout and current Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Amarius Mims will have his No. 65 jersey retired at Shelly Hayes Field at Royal Stadium.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place immediately following the end of the first quarter in their home opener against the East Laurens Falcons.

Mims, who now blocks for Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, becomes the latest Bleckley County athlete to be recognized for his contributions on and off the field.

Kickoff is scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. Tune into highlights from the game on The Endzone during 41NBC News at 11 p.m.
