Bike Walk Macon celebrates 10th anniversary, hosts inaugural ‘Streets For All Fest’

Founder of Bike Walk Macon, Rachel Umana, says there will be informational and recreational activities, group rides, walks, and community-focused gatherings.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bike Walk Macon is celebrating their 10th anniversary and hosting a weekend-long celebration of biking and walking to kick off the milestone.

Founder of Bike Walk Macon, Rachel Umana, says there will be informational and recreational activities, group rides, walks, and community-focused gatherings.

The inaugural ‘Streets for All Fest‘ will take place March 6-8.

  • Thursday, March 6:
    • Macon Bike Party: Decades Bike Ride –  The event is free and begins at 6 p.m.
  • Friday, March 7:
    • Celebrating Women in Public Space Design Bike Ride – The cost is $20 and begins at 5 p.m. 
    • Downtown Snapshots + Street Art Stroll – The cost is $20 and begins at 6 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 8:
    • Coffee + Conversations Bike Ride – The cost is $20 and begins at 8:30 a.m.
    • Macon Vision Zero Implementation: Gray Highway and East Macon Loop Walk – The cost is $20 and begins at 11 a.m.
    • Ocmulgee Heritage Trail Behind the Scenes Bike Ride – The cost is $20 and begins at 2:30 p.m. 
    • Plaza Party Celebrating 10 Years of Bike Walk Macon – The event is free and begins at 5 p.m.

Umana says tickets are $20 per activity or you can save by purchasing two tickets for $35. Attendees can also get an all-access pass for $75, which includes access to all rides and walks, plus an exclusive “10 Years of Momentum” Bike Walk Macon t-shirt.
